This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Group Accountant to join a growing Tech business based in Westminster.
The Senior Group Accountant will ideally be comfortable handling large volumes of data, meeting tight deadlines and able to convey the relevant information with a commercial mindset.
This is a hybrid role with 3 days a week in the office in Westminster.
Senior Group Accountant Responsibilities:
- Perform reconciliations for high-risk balance sheet accounts.
- Review and oversee work done on lower-risk balance sheet accounts.
- Ensure all financial data is recorded accurately and promptly in the General Ledger.
- Contribute to the development of robust financial policies and procedures.
- Act as a point of contact for external advisors, including auditors and tax consultants.
- Lead and support various ad-hoc financial projects as required by management.
- Assist in preparing monthly consolidated management accounts and annual financial statements.
- Maintain and enhance financial controls to ensure they remain effective as the business scales.
- Assist in Finance Automation Projects to drive efficiency and improve reporting processes.
Senior Group Accountant Profile:
- Fully qualified with post-qualification experience (PQE) in industry.
- Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of technical accounting standards.
- Familiarity with internal controls; SOX experience is a plus.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Experience with SQL and Google Suite (G Suite).
- Familiarity with SUN Systems &/or Anaplan
