Occupational Therapist
Contract Length: 12 weeks (possible extension)
Caseload: Approximately 4 cases per week
Case complexity: Mixture of standard and complex OT cases
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and make recommendations for major adaptations and complex equipment, including preparing sketches, reading plans, and providing detailed specifications for major works.
- Carry out holistic, person-centred assessments, support planning, and reviews for people with a range of health conditions and their careers.
- Participate in duty and contribute to multi-professional team working.
- Manage, plan, prioritise, and progress complex cases independently.
- Assess and recommend simple and complex equipment, review effectiveness, and teach safe use in line with legislation and policy.
Essential Requirements:
- Professional Occupational Therapy qualification recognised by HCPC.
- Excellent knowledge, skills, and experience with major adaptations, specialist equipment, and manual handling.
- Experience working in a multi-disciplinary team.
- Understanding of legal social care framework and housing legislation.
- Ability to work autonomously, plan and prioritise workload, and manage complex cases.
